I do not know how to dance, but after all, I could engage in conversation.” On the morning of May first, 1934, very early, I went to visit the hyena. For entire nights I suffered: I had always detested balls, above all those given in my own honor. We spent many pleasant hours in this way.įor the first of May my mother had arranged a ball in my honor.
